Through extensive testing and customer input, we have designed a replacement breech plug and primer carrier for the Knight DISC Extreme and DISC Elite muzzleloaders. This new design nearly eliminates blowback while providing instant ignition with Blackhorn 209. The breech plug is sold as a kit consisting of the breech plug, 209 primer carrier, and two vent liners. The standard Knight bolt is used, gun alterations are not required. The breech plug and primer carrier are produced from 17-4 stainless steel vacuum hardened to specification H900. 17-4ss offers high strength with outstanding corrosion resistance. The replaceable vent liners are produced from a mil-spec steel and vacuum hardened in a proprietary heat treat process that maximizes toughness to flame erosion. Due to Knight manufacturing variances and model differences, this kit may not fit the Knight Longe Range Hunter, Master Hunter, Master Hunter Cryogenic, DISC Original with the DISC Extreme conversion update, or the Green Mountain 54-120.
